Olympic Basin / Athletes’ Quarters

This man-made Olympic-calibre basin is a training site for aquatic sports (rowing, sprint canoe-kayak, dragon-boat, triathlon, and open water swimming) and an event site for national and international competitions.

 

The Olympic Basin and facilities at the Athletes’ Quarters are available for rental to sports clubs.

 

Schedule

Fall/winter session: from November 1, 2011, to April 30, 2012

Athletes’ Quarters (closed basin)
Monday to Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. 
Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Spring/summer session: from May 1, 2011 to October 31, 2011

Athletes’ Quarters
Daily: 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Olympic Basin
Daily: 6: 00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Please note the Athletes’ Quarters and-or the Olympic Basin will be closed on:

• June 10-12, 2011 - Grand Prix of Canada
• August 19-20, 2011 - NASCAR
• December 24, 25 and 26  2011 and  January 1 and 2, 2012

Weight room rules in the Athletes’ Quarters 

• Maximum capacity of 20 people.
• The renter is responsible for the cleanliness of the room.
• The renter is responsible for the proper use of the material and will be liable to the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau for any damage incurred because of misuse.
• Taking equipment outside the room is prohibited.
• The corridor may not be used for doing exercises.
