Sound meters

This year, three sound meters have been set up for the purpose of analyzing and controlling the sound emanating from major events at the Parc. This initiative is a collaborative effort by the Ville-Marie borough, the City of Saint-Lambert and the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau.

The ultimate objective of the initiative is to propose solutions for better management of the sound, starting in 2019.

The sound measurement pilot project will conclude with the end of the event season, on September 30. An analysis and extraction of the data will then be conducted and a written report of the findings will be released in November. The data will remain accessible to the public until the end of 2018.

Purchase the novel memory album that traces the evolution of Parc Jean-Drapeau.
