Slow Traffic on Chemin Macdonald this week

October 15-26, 2018

Due to work on Chemin Macdonald, traffic is expected to be slow between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., on October 15‑26, 2018. A section of the road will be reduced to one lane on which vehicles will be able to circulate alternately.

Detour of the Route Verte on the Circuit Gilles‑Villeneuve

October 2 to November 15, 2018

Due to construction work in the Floralies Gardens, a portion of the bike path (Route Verte) is closed to cyclists. A detour on the circuit Gilles‑Villeneuve is effective.

Slow Traffic on Circuit Gilles‑Villeneuve

September 25 to November 23, 2018

Due to construction work, the width of Circuit Gilles‑Villeneuve will be reduced to one lane along the paddocks. Motorists and cyclists will have to share the road on this segment until November 23.

Children and chaperons

Children

Please indicate the number of children who will be with you on your Parc Jean‑Drapeau outing.

Chaperons

Minimum required: 0

The minimum requirement is calculated on the basis of the number and the age group of the children listed above.

A chaperon (or monitor) is a person aged 16 and over, in charge of a group of participants. The chaperon must provide the support required for his or her group by either being in the water or within easy reach of the participant.

Here is the Chaperon ratio required by the Société du parc Jean‑Drapeau:

2 years and under 1 adult / 1 child 1
3-5 years 1 adult / 3 children 1
6-11 years 1 adult / 6 children
12 years and over 1 adult / 15 children
  • 1 Personal Flotation Jacket (PFD) is mandatory for children ages 5 and under.
