Circuit Gilles‑Villeneuve is closed to cyclists from July 23 to August 17

July 23 to August 17, 2018

Due to the mounting, the hosting and demounting of major events, Circuit Gilles‑Villeneuve is partially closed and the section that remains open is being turned into two‑way vehicular traffic. Cyclists can use the Route verte (Green Route) and the South Shore bike link will remain open.

The South Shore Bike Link close at 11 p.m. on fireworks nights

July 7 to August 8, 2018

The opening of the South Shore link will be extended to 11 p.m. on nights when the International des Feux Loto Québec is being held, making it easier for the public's traveling.

Plan your trip and avoid unpleasant surprises by consulting often the important notices or the schedule of activities and events that are of interest to you.

School specials

During summer, Parc Jean-Drapeau offers group school specials to elementary and high schools, as well as childcare centers (CPE). For a memorable and carefree day, enjoy our unique environment and all our services!

Aquatic Complex School Special provides access to our heated pool specially designed for children, water games and an inflatable 15 m structure. Enjoy swimming under the sun in a friendly and safe environment!

A group includes a minimum of 30 children.

Chaperon ratio

A chaperon (or monitor) is a person aged 16 and over, in charge of a group of participants. The chaperon must provide the support required for his or her group by either being in the water or within easy reach of the participant.

Here is the Chaperon ratio required by the Société du parc Jean‑Drapeau:

2 years and under 1 adult / 1 child 1
3-5 years 1 adult / 3 children 1
6-11 years 1 adult / 6 children
12 years and over 1 adult / 15 children
  • 1 Personal Flotation Jacket (PFD) is mandatory for children ages 5 and under.
