Closure of the Jacques‑Cartier Bridge

Due to the rerun of Jacques‑Cartier Bridge's illumination show, the bridge will be completely closed on June 25 from 9:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.

Due to construction work near the Aquatic Complex, it will be closed to public and athletes for the 2017 season. Swimmers will still be able to come enjoy the water at Parc Jean‑Drapeau this summer at Jean‑Doré Beach.

Open water swimming

ERA Regatta

The Parc Jean-Drapeau's Olympic Basin will host the 97th edition of the Eastern Rowing Association Regatta, a competition where athletes from across Eastern Canada compete in a 2000-meter long rowing race.

The Montreal Esprit Triathlon, which takes place at the Olympic Basin and on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve at Parc Jean-Drapeau, welcomes hundreds of athletes in swimming, cycling and running events on a flat and fast course. Rock 'N' Roll Oasis Marathon - Montreal

The Montréal marathon is one of the largest running events in Canada. The runners start their journey on the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, traveling along the Parc Jean-Drapeau, more precisely St. Helen's Island and the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Île Notre-Dame, before heading to Parc La Fontaine on Montreal's island to complete their run.
