Prisoners of Camp S/43

Try to escape from internment Camp S/43 on St. Helen's Island!

Relive a little-known episode of Montreal's history during the Second World War. From 1940 to 1943, the Fort of île Sainte-Hélène held 400 Italian merchant seamen and civilians as prisoners of war.

The Stewart Museum invites you to participate with family and friends in an escape game. You'll suddenly find yourself locked in one of the rooms in Camp S/43! To escape, you'll have to look for clues, bribe the camp guards, and find keys and a map for the tunnel. May the best team win!
