The Société du parc Jean-Drapeau produces several events, including the Fête des neiges de Montréal. Throughout the years, the outstanding contributions of the many volunteers is a key element in the success and notoriety of our events.

Yes, but the volunteer must honour his or her commitment before receiving a certificate attesting the hours the volunteer has done. It will be issued by email at the end of the event.
The assigning of the various duties is done that same morning to ensure the proper coordination of all the volunteers, based on crowds attending the event and the needs.
The noon-hour lunch is provided, as are a few snacks during the day. If you have any food allergies, we suggest you bring your lunch.

It's very important that you dress warmly. Volunteer activities at the Fête des neiges event all take place outdoors. You need to be properly dressed, with winter boots, snow pants, a fleece-lined winter coat, a toque, gloves, extra clothing, a thermos and other items to keep you warm. It's also important that you have your health insurance card with you.
Yes, attendance at a training day is mandatory to be a volunteer. Information on this subject will be conveyed to you by the attendant that contacts you.
No. Since the assigning to the various duties is done that same morning, the volunteer groups are divided up to carry out the various job assignments.
The deadline to register is January 19, 2019. If the volunteer job postings aren't filled after this date, the registrations will remain open.
The Fête des neiges will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from January 19 to February 10, 2019. Depending on the job positions, volunteers will have to be available according to the schedule of their choice among the Fête des neiges dates. We encourage volunteers to provide maximum availability in an effort to contribute to the event.
You have to be 14 years of age and over. The candidate must be able to communicate in French. The candidate must have basic customer service skills, behave in a friendly and professional manner, be able to follow instructions and comply with policies regarding volunteers. The candidate must be committed to helping the public have an enjoyable time, and the candidate must enjoy working outdoors.
Yes, every candidate will be subject to a criminal record check by the SPVM(Montréal police department). Candidates with a criminal record are not eligible for selection as a volunteer and must withdraw their candidacy.
