Four weekends

Presented over four weekends - from January 18 to February 9, 2014, the Fête des neiges de Montréal will be welcoming visitors with an array of new features, including an evening program every Saturday.

Get ready, winter activity enthusiasts! The Fête des neiges de Montréal has a fresh new look with the return of improved popular activities, but also with many surprises that will delight people of all ages.

Yan England sera présent à la Fête des neiges les week-ends du 25 et 26 janvier ainsi que du 1er et 2 février. Les séances d'autographe auront lieu de 14 h à 15 h.

 

Concours

Concours Sunwing/The Beat

During the 4 weekends the Fête des neiges is on, head to Parc Jean-Drapeau and go to the Sunwing - The Beat contest area so you can have your picture taken with the Swunwing frame and post it on social media (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) with the hashtag #sudFDN2014.

Could win: A one (1) week all-inclusive package for two (2) adults at the Memories Splash Punta Cana resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

This famed slide is known for its dozens of lanes, including 2 "Superslides" with a starting area from a height of 12 metres. And new this year, sliding enthusiasts can also go down the hill in a group in the "Trippante" with the brand new four-seater tubes.

Himalaya Zip-Line

From atop its 75 feet, the Himalaya Zip-Line invites the bravest to descend from the Biosphère's Belvédère and revel in a one-of-a-kind experience. Will you dare to attempt a descent of more than 850 feet?

Cross-Country Skiing and Open Snowshoeing Trails

Set up on the wooded trails and running alongside the river, easy-level cross-country ski trails are just right for anyone that wants to be introduced to this sliding sport. Rental of skis and snowshoes is available on site.

Zone petites pattes Disney Junior (Small Paws)

This charming village is the favourite spot for tiny tots because of its mini-car circuit and its small-house slides.

Cirque polaire (Polar Circus)

The big Polar Circus is back again this year with its colourful collection of characters. They've received a letter from the governor of Nevada to put on a show in Las Vegours in March... but they aren't ready! They'll need some help staging the exciting and hilarious acts that are filled with magic and surprises...

Continuous entertainment and mini shows

Dog-Sled Tour

A circuit for an outing in a dog sled has been set up on the site. Accompanied by a guide, there's room for two people to sit on the sled.

Skaters' Trail

This magnificent refrigerated ice trail runs along the Saint Lawrence River with a fantastic view of Montréal.

Departure via the 'Zone confort'.

Family Zip-Line

This zip-line provides everyone with an opportunity to soar above the Fête des neiges site on one of the three zip-line cables that are more than 400 feet long and set up at a height of 40 feet.

Eight times a day, spectators will be treated to performances on this stage by professional ice sculptors and various dance schools.

Ferris Wheel

The Fête des neiges Ferris Wheel provides visitors with a terrific view of Montréal from a lofty vantage point.

Belles bottines La Presse (Boot rink)

Several sports disciplines will be featured on this multi-functional boot rink. You can form teams on site and you can even play with the Mouflons squad in various winter-adapted sports.

Zone gonflée (Inflated structure area)

Come and jump and bounce around in one of the 10 inflatable games set up for the winter season. Guaranteed fun!

Giant foosball

The traditional game table takes on a human dimension. Take the place of a soccer player and try out this enthralling game.

Aerial adventure course

Winter aerial adventure course for the children.

Minimum height: 52 inches (4 feet, 4 inches)

This activity will not be presented on February 9

Horse-Drawn Sleigh Tour

A horse-drawn sleigh tour in a winter setting.

Coup de pouce Giant Ice Slide

This giant 2-lane slide, which is one 100 feet long and 14 feet high, will delight sliding enthusiasts.

Stewart Museum Old-Fashioned Curling

The Stewart Museum invites you to time travel to the 19th century for an introduction to old-fashioned curling on a real outdoor rink. Brooms and irons are provided, so people of all ages can come and enjoy themselves. Icy fun guaranteed!

Conquering the Forts

The North and South Pole meet at the Fête des neiges this year. They have erected their ice forts on our site for a friendly battle. Come and take in this epic snowball fight with our animators from the frost-bite regions. North or South... who's going to win the golden pole...?

Open Sliding

Several lanes will be set up so you can slide in total safety. Bring your sled!

Comfort zone

Take a moment to sit in one of the four giant Adirondack chairs and be warmed by the braziers.

Exhibition of ice sculptures

Come and admire the ice sculptures that will be exhibited throughout the duration of the Fête des neiges after the performances by our professional ice sculptures on the Le Glacier stage. Five new sculptures will be on display every day.

Bô Bébé Rest Stop

Located in the Aquatic Complex, the Bô Bébé rest stop for babies allows families to enjoy top-notch services to care for their young ones: changing tables, rocking chairs, nursing pillows, bottle warmers and microwaves are all available in a quiet, intimate area.

And Bô Bébé is pleased to make families' meals easier by providing high chairs and booster seats, available in two food-court areas at the Aquatic Complex.

L'ACCROPasse also entitles you to:

  • Access to a VIP place in front of the stage during Saturday evening shows. (To the first 200 people that arrive there)
  • 30 additional free minutes on rental of recreational equipment at the regular price
  • A 10% discount at the Aquatic Complex Bistro

The ACCROPasse may not be transferred to any other person.

Important notice

South Shore cycling path

The bike path between the South Shore (Saint-Lambert) and Parc Jean-Drapeau, and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve will both open to the public on Monday April 7th, 2014. The ice bridge situated to the west of the Champlain Bridge between Île-des-Soeurs and the Saint-Lawrence River will also be open.
