Question:How many buildings are there in Parc Jean-Drapeau?
Answer:

There are 68 buildings; 33 on Île Sainte-Hélène and 35 on Île Notre-Dame.

Question:Where can I buy souvenirs?
Answer:
  • At the Biosphere

  • At the Casino de Montréal

  • At La Ronde

  • During special events, which have their own souvenir booths, the F1 Grand Prix of Canada, for example.

Question:Where are the exits?
Answer:

By Car:

  • Île Notre-Dame: The de la Concorde Bridge by the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve access road, which leads into Montréal.

  • To get to the South Shore, take either the Victoria Bridge or the Champlain Bridge.

  • Île Sainte-Hélène: take the Jacques-Cartier Bridge to get to either the South Shore or Montreal.

Question:Where can I make a complaint?
Answer:
  • With the Customer Service Department via the " Contact Us " section.

  • At an Information Centre: near the Passerelle du Cosmos on Île Notre-Dame or near the metro station on Île Sainte-Hélène

  • At the entrances to the Beach

Question:Where do lost and found items go?
Answer:

All lost and found items at the Parc are deposited daily in two places:

  • From September to April, at the reception counter of the Athletes’ Quarters on Île Notre-Dame

  • From May to August, at the reception counter of the Aquatic Complex on Île Sainte-Hélène

To recover a lost item or report a found item, call 514 872-6120 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

If the item has not been claimed within two weeks of the date on which it was lost, we will donate it to the Le Chaînon, an organization that helps women in difficulty. Before we send these items to this organization, however, we go through them to remove lunch bags, undergarments or any other soiled item. For your information, we keep wallets, prescription glasses, jewelry, cameras or any other valuables in a separate box. These items will be kept for a longer period of time.

Question:Where can I catch the river shuttle?
Answer:
  • From Île Sainte-Hélène: departure from the pier on Île Sainte-Hélène to Montreal.

  • From Montreal: Departure from the Jacques-Cartier pier in Montreal’s Old Port to Parc Jean-Drapeau’s Île Sainte-Hélène.

Question:Where are the walking paths?
Answer:

You can walk for hours on end through Parc Jean-Drapeau, enjoying the vistas, the flora, the public artworks and the tourist attractions. In particular, the Floralies Gardens on Île Notre-Dame offer a particularly rich and colorful floral display. In addition, there is a walking tour mapped out that guides you through the park's outdoor public artworks.

Question:Where can I find a first-aid kit?
Answer:
  • At the Information Center

  • Members of the roving Security Patrol always have first-aid kits with them

  • At the Beach and the Aquatic Complex

Question:Where can I rent a watercraft?
Answer:

You can rent canoes, pedal boats, kayaks and mayaks at the Water Sports Pavilion, located at the Beach on Île Notre-Dame.

  • At the snack bar in the Floralies Gardens (Seasonal)

  • At the Casino de Montréal (Annual)

  • At La Ronde (Seasonal)

  • At the snack bar on the Beach (Seasonal)

  • On the site of certain special events.

No, the first mailbox you come to on leaving the park is at Cité du Havre.

Question:How large is Parc Jean-Drapeau?
Answer:

268 hectares for the two islands combined.

Question:Can I rent a hall or a site at Parc Jean-Drapeau?
Answer:

Yes, discover a unique setting for your events! Our reception halls are perfect for all kinds of meetings, and are all located just minutes away from downtown Montréal. Great spots for film shoots, corporate picnics, weddings and family celebrations.

Question:Can I pay using Interac?
Answer:

In general, wherever admission fees must be paid, you can use Interac. You may not use Interac at the ferry and at snack bars.

Question:Are there any ATMs?
Answer:

Yes, there are ATMs inside the Casino de Montréal, at La Ronde, at the snack bar next to the subway exit, and inside the Chalet at the Beach.

Question:Can I walk my dog on the islands?
Answer:

Yes, you can walk your dog at Parc Jean-Drapeau.

  • Dogs must be kept on a leash

  • Dog owners must pick up after their dogs immediately and dispose of the dog excrements in a sanitary manner

  • Dogs are not allowed on the Beach

Question:Can I park a recreational vehicle at Parc Jean-Drapeau?
Answer:

Yes. Our parking lots can accommodate RVs, but occupants of the vehicle are not permitted to stay there overnight.

Question:Can we rent golf carts?
Answer:

No, the golf carts you see on the grounds are for the use of Parc Jean-Drapeau employees.

Question:Where are the ornamental fountains?
Answer:
  • The Roche pleureuse Fountain is in the Floralies Gardens

  • The water-jet fountain is located near the exit of the Jean-Drapeau Metro Station

  • The waterfall close to the Phare du Cosmos

  • There are three waterfalls in the Floralies Gardens, near the Casino de Montréal
