About us

The Société du parc Jean-Drapeau is a paramunicipal body of the City of Montreal whose seven-member Board of Directors primarily represent the business world.

Many activities and events are held on Sainte-Hélène and Notre-Dame islands. The Société du parc Jean-Drapeau plays a variety of roles, such as an event organizer or a logistical support agency for the numerous partners and promoters of the extensive programming offered to the general public year-round and on a sporadic basis.

Mandate of the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau:

• Providing activities for the public;
• Preserving, protecting and developing the parks and waterways;
• Managing the site in terms of public use, safety and roadsigns;
• Maintaining business relationships with the various partners of the islands;
• Fostering the image of Parc Jean-Drapeau;
• Ensuring access to the islands, the flow of traffic and parking;
• Maintaining and preserving the buildings, facilities and public artworks on the site.
