Since its founding in 1874, our spacious public park has become a favourite spot for Montrealers, providing them with unmatched access to nature and the river. The setting for an array of memorable moments, from Man and His World to the Montréal Marathon, to the hosting of the 1976 Olympics and the creation of the first park-beach, the Parc has been the site of unforgettable gatherings and events, both local and international in scale. It has helped propel great athletes, artists and major projects, while bringing people together through the generations.

Our creative approach
Our Parc was born out of audacity and constant desire to come together to experience unforgettable moments. At the very core of our new campaign lies a rallying cry, a hymn celebrating humanity and all that is most spectacular about it.
In total transformation
Currently, the Parc is well on its way to a complete transformation. By 2030, many major projects will be giving birth to the Parc Jean-Drapeau of the future, one of the most emblematic parks worldwide.
Activities and events
To celebrate this historic year, the Parc is getting ready to unfurl a year-long series of festivities and special activities to reflect our rich, exciting history. From fresh new activities to reimagined classics, get ready for an emotion-filled year!
In the shadow of the Hélène-de-Champlain pavilion and at the base of the mysterious Mont Boullé, the pop-up village of Lune Noire will be set in place during the last week of October, just before Halloween. This one-of-a-kind event in Montréal is designed to haunt the dreams of monsters of all ages, anyone who dares to come and see it.
