Spectacularly human!

Société du parc Jean-Drapeau

This year, Parc Jean-Drapeau is celebrating 150 years of what can only be described as a humanly spectacular history!

Since its founding in 1874, our spacious public park has become a favourite spot for Montrealers, providing them with unmatched access to nature and the river. The setting for an array of memorable moments, from Man and His World to the Montréal Marathon, to the hosting of the 1976 Olympics and the creation of the first park-beach, the Parc has been the site of unforgettable gatherings and events, both local and international in scale. It has helped propel great athletes, artists and major projects, while bringing people together through the generations.
