Vespasiennes des étangs
The conservation project of this service area that was built in 1959 has been brought to fruition! Major work was done on the envelope of the building, a slate terrace was added and the indoor spaces were totally renovated by integrating eco-energy components.
In the aim of sustainable development, the adjacent parking lot was fully vegetated, and this is contributing to the ecological diversification of the park. Meanwhile, the grassy areas are set up with picnic tables and benches which provide a nice spot to relax and unwind.
Objectives:
- Conserve the heritage building.
- Enhance the basic service offering.
- Improve the Parc's vegetation covering to counter the "heat islands" and promote ecological diversification.
- Provide universal access to the building, with Kéroul accreditation.

Features and components of the sector
Restoration of this heritage building was done by harmonizing the outside components with those of the Playground chalet, which is also undergoing a restoration. The copper roof, the stone which resembles the breccia rock used in the initial construction of many works and the slate terrace now comprise the distinctive architectural features of the Parc.
The previous parking lot was fully vegetated in the aim of recreating a three-strata forest:
- A space where various tree species were planted, trees that will reach maturity in 20 years and complement Mont Boullé's forest canopy.
- A terraced area mowed once a year, the seeding of which is aimed at making it a flowery meadow.
- A grassy area that conjures the image of a picnic and relaxation.
