Electric scooters

Things to do at the Parc

Parc Jean-Drapeau users will be able to take advantage of a new self-serve electric scooter rental service as part of a pilot project being done in collaboration with the City of Montréal. This initiative enables us to enhance our sustainable mobility offer on our site, along with providing greater accessibility to the Parc.

Bird Canada was chosen as the electric scooter promoter following a competitive bidding process. Some 200 scooters will be made available to Parc visitors, thereby allowing them to explore the islands through this safe, sustainable, practical and pleasant means of transportation.

Schedule

July 1st to November 15, 2023

Rates

Unlocking the scooter and helmet $1.15
Trip $0.42 / minute

Bird Canada also offers passes (daily, weekly, monthly), along with a variety of special rate options. The complete list of rates is offered on the application.

How it works

Downloading

Everything is done through the Bird Canada app: unlocking the scooters, interactive card, payments, etc.

Unlocking

After swiping the special QR code used to identify the equipment, the user can put on the helmet and use the scooter.

Returning

Once you reach your destination, it is important that you properly park and lock the scooter. With the help of the app, the user takes a photo to confirm the equipment has been returned.

Stations

There are more than 15 stations at Parc Jean-Drapeau, located near facilities and points of interest, where you can get or park the electric scooters.

Check on the app's interactive map.

Regulations

Bird Canada employees will be on site at all times to make sure everything is working properly with the scooters and to educate users on the rules that must be followed.

  • Users must be at least 18 years of age.
  • All users must wear a helmet at all times.
