Things to do at the Parc

The entire family is invited to Parc Jean-Drapeau to enjoy a wide array of entertaining, educational and interactive activities in a charming setting in the middle of the Saint Lawrence River.

The spacious areas in the Roseraie and its urban facilities enable all types of activities to be held: music workshops, circus workshops, watercolour classes, miniature golf day and much more.

Turn off your screens and come experience some leisurely time with the children in a safe, pleasant setting, where nature is put in the forefront by a seasoned horticultural team.

Percussions

A workshop that allows all participants to have a special and memorable time getting familiar with all types of musical instruments and delighting in the melodious beats of the group. The workshop is continuous.

Learn about birds of prey

Animated by a biologist accompanied by two ambassador birds, this workshop will allow you to enjoy an interactive, sensorial and very real experience. The workshop takes place continuously.

Circus workshop

Many workshops will be available for children, providing them with an opportunity to learn about the various circus disciples, in a fun and safe environment. Workshop participants will explore juggling, balancing on various devices, basic acrobatics and clown-playing. The workshop takes place continuously and participants will be able to take turns using the materials.

Minigolf

A fun-filled 9-hole course will be available for mini-golf enthusiasts and everyone's pleasure. In addition to the continuous animation on the site, Carl Carmoni, a miniputt champion and a Québec legend in the sport, will be on hand.

Beekeeping and visiting the hives

An introduction to beekeeping activity where an expert will accompany you as you discover the inner workings of the hive. While you're enjoying the experience, which will definitely appeal to all of your senses, you can touch, feel and taste the various products from the hive (wax, pollen, honey, etc.) and see the worker bees in action.

Outdoor watercolour

The surrounding flora will be observed, drawn and painted in watercolour at this painting workshop for the entire family, where the techniques and ways to depict nature will be highlighted. The workshop is open to everyone, with or without art experience.

Edible and medicinal plants

A small outing in Parc Jean-Drapeau's green spaces will enable you to see and identify some of the vegetation there. The emphasis will be on medicinal and edible plants, including their properties and usages.

Les Pauses-santé

The new meeting place for health and physical fitness enthusiasts: a moment to recharge and raise your energy level. The Parc offers yoga and cardio-musculation sessions, conducted by professionals, in a green space where flowers and plants abound.

Mobility

Getting to the Pavillon Hélène-de-Champlain

To make it easier to get around, here is the exact location of the Espace Roseraie in the garden of the Pavillon Hélène-de-Champlain at Parc Jean-Drapeau posted on Google Maps.

Subway Station

The Jean-Drapeau subway station on the Line 4 — Yellow is located on Île Sainte-Hélène, in the heart of Parc Jean-Drapeau. To get to the Parc easily and quickly, the subway is still the best way to go!

River shuttle

During the summer season, Parc Jean-Drapeau visitors can use the river shuttle as a means of transportation, from the Vieux-Port de Montréal (Jacques-Cartier pier) and the city of Longueuil.

Three STM shuttles provide a connection between the Jean-Drapeau subway station and various attractions.

Bike

The Parc is one of the few places where you can cross the Saint Lawrence River on your bike: simply take the bike paths of the Jacques Cartier Bridge, the Concorde Bridge or the Bike link.

Walking

People can enjoy many of the cycling paths to get to or pass through the Parc Jean-Drapeau, either running or walking.

With more than 25 kilometres of trails and pathways, the Parc is a pleasant spot for hiking, all year round.
