Migration
This art work is the brainchild of sculptor Robert Roussil. The work was created in the Werts foundry in France and was transported in detached pieces by plane before the artist assembled it in Montréal in time for Expo 67.
Composed of an assortment of dark black-painted pieces, the sculpture depicts an animal shape: a stylized quadruped with a fifth foot.
The City of Montréal restored the work in 2004.
