Things to do at the Parc Aquatic Complex

Pools

  1. The maximum capacity of swimmers in the confines of the pools is 1,800.
  2. Children under the age of 7 must at all times be accompanied and monitored, at a minimum, by a person aged 16 or over, wearing his/her swim suit, in the swimming area, based on the ratio below:
    0-24 months 1 adult / 1 child
    25 months to 7 years 1 adult / 3 children
  3. A proper bathing suit must be worn (babies must wear a swim diaper).
  4. Showering before entering the water is mandatory.
  5. Spitting, urinating or blowing your nose in the pool is prohibited.
  6. Safety belts or personal flotation devices are recommended for people who don't know how to swim.
  7. Only safety belts (dorsal ball or hippo belt) and personal flotation devices (PFD) are permitted.
  8. Civil and safe conduct is required at all times in the pool and on the deck.
  9. Diving head-first and climbing on the shoulders of another person is prohibited in the recreational pool.
  10. Diving masks, inflatable games and Frisbees are prohibited.
  11. Short training flippers and front-mounted training snorkels are permitted in the swimming lanes.
  12. No loitering or playing in the swimming areas marked off by ropes (buoy lines).
  13. Beach chairs are permitted.
  14. The no smoking ban is in effect at all places.
  15. No alcoholic drinks may be brought into the confines of the Aquatic Complex.
  16. Glass containers are prohibited; plastic bottles are permitted.
  17. Eating on the deck of the pools is prohibited. A lunch area is provided near the ticket office.
  18. Pets, including those kept on a lease, are prohibited.

Lane swimming

  1. Maximum de 12 personnes par corridor.
  2. Choisir le corridor de nage qui correspond à votre calibre (lent, moyen ou rapide).
  3. Toujours nager à droite du corridor.
  4. Effectuer les dépassements par la gauche.
    Touchez légèrement le pied du nageur qui vous précède pour lui signifier que vous désirez le dépasser. Ce dernier doit garder son rythme, sans accélérer et se ranger à droite. Si le dépassement se produit en bout de corridor, la personne qui dépasse a priorité pour le virage.
  5. Lors d'une pause, toujours laisser le milieu des extrémités de corridors libres afin de permettre les virages.
  6. Faire preuve de courtoisie envers les autres baigneurs et réévaluer si le corridor choisi est adéquat.

Diving pool

  1. You must be 10 years of age and over to go on the tower.
  2. Access to a pool is prohibited when the gates are closed.
  3. Only one person at a time is allowed on the platform.
  4. Before climbing on the springboard, the user must wait until the person ahead of him or her has jumped.
  5. The user must wait until the person has returned to the edge of the pool before jumping.
  6. Only two bounces on the springboard are allowed.
  7. You must conduct yourself in a safe manner at all times on the springboard and platform.
  8. No reverse or inward dives are allowed.
  9. Once they are in the water, divers must leave the pool immediately by going to the nearest ladder.

Workout room

  1. A minimum of two permanent on-site people, at least one of which has an up-to-date competency card (CPR, NCCP) is mandatory to use the workout room.
  2. Maximum capacity is 20 people.
  3. The renter is responsible for the cleanliness and orderly arranging of the room; additional fees will automatically be charged in the event of non-compliance with this stipulation.
  4. The sports equipment must stay in the workout rooms at all times; exercises may only be conducted inside the rooms.
  5. For hygiene reasons, a towel is mandatory and the equipment must be wiped at the end of each workout.
  6. Proper attire is required at all times for use of the workout rooms (shirts/jerseys, sandals and boots are prohibited).
  7. The eating of food must be done outside the workout room.
  8. Glass containers are prohibited; plastic bottles are permitted.
  9. Any incident leading to material or physical damage must immediately be reported to SPJD staff, which will take charge of applying the appropriate measures.

Jean-Drapeau Subway Station

The Jean-Drapeau subway station is located on Île Sainte-Hélène, in the heart of Parc Jean-Drapeau. To get to the Parc easily and quickly, the subway is still the best way to go!

STM promotions

River shuttle

During the summer season, Parc Jean-Drapeau visitors can use the river shuttle as a means of transportation, from the Vieux-Port de Montréal (Jacques-Cartier pier) and the city of Longueuil.

Users can also bring along their bikes and they have access to a network of cycling paths at each stop.

Covid-19 - The river shuttle service will not be operational for the 2021 summer season.

STM shuttle

Two STM shuttles provide a connection between the Jean-Drapeau subway station and various attractions.

767

During the summer season, the 767 shuttle stops at Jean-Doré Beach and the La Ronde amusement park.

777

Every day of the year, the 777 shuttle provides fast access to the Casino de Montréal.

Routes and schedules

Bike and BIXI

Parc Jean-Drapeau is part of the Trans Canada Trail and the Route verte and is one of the few places where you can cross the Saint Lawrence River on your bike.

From Montréal: take the Lachine Canal bike path, near the Vieux-Port de Montréal, or the Jacques Cartier Bridge multipurpose Path.

From the South Shore: take the Bike Link or the Jacques Cartier Bridge multipurpose Path.

BIXI

There are many BIXI stations at the Parc during the summer season.

Walking

People can enjoy many of the cycling paths to get to or pass through the Parc Jean-Drapeau, either running or walking.

With more than 25 kilometres of trails and pathways, the Parc is a pleasant spot for hiking, all year round.

Parking

Motorists can get to Parc Jean-Drapeau by taking the Jacques Cartier Bridge or the Concorde Bridge.

Taxibus service

You can reserve a taxi for your travels at the Parc by using a valid STM transport fare (ticket or OPUS card).
