A sustainable and responsible outdoors
To promote a healthy co-existence between the natural areas and the activities conducted at Parc Jean-Drapeau, the Parc invite users to respect the ethics of the outdoors and the seven Leave No Trace principles.

Plan ahead and prepare
Plan your activities by checking the Parc's various platforms and using an active or public transport.

Use sustainable surfaces
During your travels and activities, use the trails that have been laid out and help in preserving Parc Jean-Drapeau's ecosystems.

Dispose of waste properly
Minimize your ecological footprint while you are here: use a reusable water bottle, use recyclable bags and bring your compostable matter back with you.

Leave what you find
To sustain the longevity of natural areas, the heritage and the various facilities of the Parc, please limit the things you do and make sure you leave the areas as you found them.

Minimize the impact of campfires
In an effort to protect the natural areas and reduce the ecological impact, campfires are prohibited at Parc Jean-Drapeau, as they are everywhere else in Montréal.

Respect wildlife
To avoid disrupting the behaviour and habitat of wildlife at the Parc, please limit your interaction and just observe from a distance.

Be considerate of others
Everyone wants to have a good time and a pleasant experience, so please respect the areas you visit, other people, and be courteous.
