Outdoor Exhibits

Things to do at the Parc

During your next visit to Parc Jean-Drapeau, take time to explore the outdoor exhibits presented as part of the 50th anniversary of the Montréal Olympic Games. Featuring the branding of this commemoration, these temporary installations offer visitors an opportunity to discover the history of the Games and the lasting legacy they left on the site.

As part of the 50th anniversary of the Montréal 1976 Olympic Games, the outdoor exhibits were specially created to showcase Parc Jean-Drapeau's Olympic history. Designed as a discovery trail accessible to all, they invite visitors to explore the legacy of the Games through some of the site's most iconic locations.

Discovery Trail

Fifty years after the Montréal Olympic Games, several facilities across Parc Jean-Drapeau still bear witness to this legacy. These two outdoor exhibits invite visitors to explore some of its lasting impacts.

A Journey Through
the Montreal Olympic Games

This exhibit is located along a footbridge spanning the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and leading to the Floralies Gardens.

Relive the key moments of the Montréal Olympic Games through an illustrated timeline, archival photographs and historical anecdotes. The exhibit traces the events, decisions and achievements that shaped this important chapter in Montréal's history.

The Olympic Basin
and Its Facilities

Interpretive panels located at the Gradins olympiques invite visitors to discover the history of the site and the facilities that surround it.

Through photographs, key milestones and a variety of documentary content, these panels highlight the evolution of the Olympic Basin as well as the water sports that are still practised there today.

The interpretive panels will be available to the public starting June 23.
