Promenade fluviale du Grand Montréal
The Promenade fluviale du Grand Montréal invites cyclists and families to explore an approximately 14 km paved route that is safe and enjoyable. Stretching between Montréal, Parc Jean-Drapeau, Île des Soeurs, and the South Shore municipalities, it offers one of the rare opportunities to cross the Saint Lawrence River by bike while enjoying stunning panoramic views.
Connected to the Trans Canada Trail and the Route verte, the promenade reveals spectacular sights of downtown Montréal and the majestic Saint Lawrence River, perfect for photo stops or a short break along the way. It is also part of the Trame verte et bleue, a network that links and highlights natural areas throughout Greater Montréal.
At Parc Jean-Drapeau, the route becomes a hub where nature, public art, and heritage come together. Sainte-Hélène and Notre-Dame Islands provide welcoming spaces to relax or enjoy a picnic after your ride, in a setting where activity and discovery blend harmoniously.
